Neither the judge nor the state counsel was in court at the scheduled time.
However, the counsel for the accused, Ebrima Jah who was present in court, said the judge, Justice Nkea was in meeting. He said the case has been adjourned till October 9 this year.
The Editor is standing trial on a five-count charge of making an act with seditious intention, seditious publication, and possession of seditious publication, giving false information to public servant, and reckless and negligent act.
While his co-accused, Mbye Bittay is facing a single count of making preparation to do act with seditious intention.
They have both pleaded not guilty.
Jobe’s lawyers have made several attempts to secure his release from State custody since his arrest on February 7, 2013.
